1-Minute Dailies: Series I
Day 4
ATTRACTION

There are only four forces*
in the physical world we live in, all of which involve attraction.

“According to the present understanding, there are four fundamental
interactions or forces: gravitation, electromagnetism, the weak
interaction, and the strong interaction.” — Wikipedia

Lorenz, while researching weather in 1963 identified a name for the
weak interaction. Some say… “The Lorenz attractor is an example of
a strange attractor.”

While you can read all kinds of craziness around the topic of
“attraction,” there is one thing you will want to know—attraction as
a continuum being attractive and unattractive is a fundamental force
in leadership. If you undervalue this concept, your leadership will
fade.

It has synonyms from charisma to energy to likeable, approachable
and credible.

The key is AFFECT.

Whatever you do, whoever you are…be, do, have, become and
contribute will fall somewhere on that attraction continuum…and
AFFECT emerges from that!

Attraction can feel like a mystery, but in reality, it’s important
for leaders,

*According to new research, a fifth force may exist! “The new
work by Feng and his team suggests that the Hungarians found not a
"dark photon" but rather a "protophobic X boson" — a strange
particle whose existence could indicate a fifth force of nature." –
