They know not what they do

In the meantime, Cyprus is quickly reverting to an all-cash economy. “It’s been cash-only here for three days,” a restaurant manager in Nicosia tells The New York Times. “The banks have closed, we don’t really know if they will reopen and all of our suppliers are demanding cash — even the beer company.”

ATM withdrawals are still allowed... but as of this morning, the limit is a mere 100 euros per day. The only certainty now: With large deposits in jeopardy, Cyprus’ status as an offshore banking haven for wealthy Russians is history.

At this time of year, I have this feeling all over me...

What if everything we thought literally about Christ (please forgive me literalists and allow this indiscretion for a point)... Was in fact a figurative meaning... What if the figure and ground were switched, what if we lived our lives in the figure of Christ and not the ground of Christian religion...?

Take this for example:

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. - Luke 23:34 of King James Bible "Authorized Version", Pure Cambridge Edition

While the irony here makes my cup runneth over...

These 'Russians' that are in the mix RUN RUSSIA, in every form.

I can't imagine this particular slight by the very hand that is fed by this hand will be taken well, and what's more, the grander scheme of things pits one group of people (very dangerous with nuclear warheads) with a larger part of the world creating bad politics among a group of people who have their hands on large financial levers.

This is not a game between Cyprus and Cyprus future, per se, this is a much bigger game being played out in a larger scheme of things strategically.

I hate to say this folks, but Russia is loaded with nuclear weapons, has 11 time zones of resources and while appearing backward to many, they have resisted a market economy @BS for many reasons.

Forgive them..., for they know not what they do...

Helpful Hint: Instead of setting up circumstances which are combative indirectly, people must look into the larger scheme of things and find ways to involve others in finding solutions.
Action Step: It is a very dire situation, and you need to take note of what is happening in a seemingly UNIMPORTANT part of the world, in what seems an innocuous action, with ramifications far beyond the moment. It is attitude that makes all decisions in the world, the seemingly small, unimportant ones and the larger, more critical ones. Managing the attitude of people over time and shaping the perception, EVEN in those dire moments are critical to the future of humanity, yet, we don't know what we do....
