It took me a LONG time to find that
quote, because BS is infatuated with Greatness, from Good To
Great Books, to the new Pizza Hut commerical that reminds us
that greatness is within all of us...and perhaps it is, but it
is something which is defined as an artifact, as opposed to a
driver of everyone and their quest for greatness.
If we all are going to be great,
it's going to require a lot of resources, unless we truly
understand we are great already, but perhaps out of alignment.
It's a very simple process, to bring into alignment, and allow
greatness to emerge, rather than to try and tackle being great
everyday.
In our society, the ego has us
focusing on greatness, rather than finding our way through the
jungle of BS. Wouldn't it be great, if everyone already knew
they were.

Helpful Hint: Greatness is
in the eye of the beholder. Being, doing, having and becoming
great is something that has already happened, but most likely
is not realized because we have on the wrong lens. Grinding
your own lens so that it's clear about what's real and what's
not is going to go along way to putting greatness where it
needs to be, and that is in the background, rather than as an
aim. |
